As the Talent Acquisition lead, my job is to identify and attract people that are the perfect fit for our company whether that be a Trainee Consultant, a managerial position, or anything in between.
I have been in the recruitment industry for over 6 years covering a range of sectors including supply chain, admin and operations and internal recruitment and my experience has enabled me to understand how to tailor my recruitment strategy to each business sector. I understand the challenges that recruitment consultants face when seeking new job opportunities and my expertise has given me the ability to empathise with their needs and goals which supports them with the next step in their career.
Although my main experience has been in recruitment, my overall experience in sales is quite diverse. In my previous roles, I was responsible for generating new business through cold calling and identifying new leads. I was also tasked with upselling existing customers on additional products or services.
What I most enjoy about my role here is supporting the growth of the business by finding talented consultants who can help us deliver our services to clients. I enjoy understanding the person, where they would be best placed in the company, and the company itself so that I can find the right person for the role. I also ensure that new employees have the same values as us as well as a clear understanding of our company culture and what we expect.
The recruitment industry has enabled me to grow and develop not only in my career but also as a person. In addition to working with candidates and clients, I have also had the opportunity to collaborate with other recruitment consultants. This is an enjoyable experience as I get to learn from their expertise and share my own insights. Ultimately, recruitment is not just about filling a role. It is about building and nurturing relationships that create value for all parties involved. As a recruiter, I take pride in being able to make a positive impact on people’s lives by helping them achieve their career goals and supporting businesses in their growth and success.
My life outside of work is centred around my little girl. As a parent, I find joy in experiencing new things with her and watching her grow from a baby to a toddler. For instance, we enjoy going to the farm, playing games, and reading books together. These activities help us bond and create memories that we’ll cherish for a lifetime. Being a parent is definitely a challenging job but more than anything rewarding.
Ultimately my main goal in life aside from a career is to see my little girl happy and for her to have the best life possible.
