I started as the Office Administrator here at Mainstay in October 2022, my responsibilities include assisting the directors and team in tasks they might need doing, supporting the business as it grows and many other general clerical tasks.
My main task handed over when starting was getting everything set up and ready to go for the launch of our re-brand; finding local suppliers to provide our new materials whilst keeping expectations at a high. I have gained a lot of experience whilst working at Mainstay as it is my first office-based job, it’s hard to learn a new job as it is for everyone, but Alex, Nick, and the team helped me massively and continue to do so.
The first thing I noticed when I joined was how inviting and approachable everyone was. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time learning new skills and getting acquainted with the job. I have worked in hospitality in the past and learnt a sizeable amount of my customer service skills from there, and I am able to utilise and implement those skills at Mainstay, this helped me grow in my career and as a person.
I believe in having a good work-life balance, which I maintain by socialising with my friends and family (mostly drinking, but all good fun). I love travelling and have been lucky enough to have lived in Spain for 9 years when I was younger; this sparked my interest to travel and have been fortunate to be able to explore many beautiful places such as New York, Greece, Florida and hope to continue to do so.
