Mainstay Recruitment is currently looking to recruit a Facilities Engineering Manager to work on a single site within Stoke. The role is working client-side looking after 5 Engineers and overseeing maintenance across machinery, tools, heating, air conditioning, ventilation, plumbing, and lighting.

Duties:

  • As the Facilities Engineering Manager, you will oversee a team of 5 Engineers who will perform planned and reactive maintenance across the site’s infrastructure, equipment, and facilities.
  • You will organise, supervise, and carry out proactive, planned and unplanned maintenance across machinery, tools, heating, air conditioning, ventilation, plumbing, and lighting.
  • As the Facilities Engineering Manager, you will create and maintain a maintenance plan to help minimise machinery and equipment downtime.
  • You will plan and coordinate installations and refurbishments.
  • You will have responsibility for health and safety and compliance across the site.
  • As the Facilities Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for assisting the team with technical advice and training to ensure the team’s professional development.
  • You will oversee the departmental budget.

Candidate:

  • The candidate will have relevant qualifications in engineering or facilities e.g., NVQ in engineering, electrical or mechanical.
  • Proven experience in a similar role overseeing a team of engineers.
  • Good technical knowledge within engineering operations and facilities management.
  • Knowledge of health and safety and compliance.
  • Good skills within communication, critical thinking, and problem solving.
