Mainstay Recruitment is working with a great company looking for an experienced Health And Safety Officer to help ensure the company complies with health and safety legislation, advising and assisting managers in developing and maintaining policies, practices, and procedures. 

Duties:

  • To assist the Senior HSQE & FM Managers in monitoring and reviewing policies, practices, and procedures relating to health and safety at work.
  • Provide guidance and advice to line managers and all departments on health and safety policies whilst monitoring compliance and taking action to address non-compliance.
  • To provide on-site safety advice to staff.
  • To support and assist with investigations of major workplace accidents.
  • Advise departments with health and safety policies when employing Contractors (e.g., Estates, ICT).
  • To assist Health And Safety Officers with learning and development in the provision and delivery of health and safety training.

Candidate:

  • Relevant health and safety qualifications e.g. NEBOSH, IOSH.
  • Experience in providing health and safety advice within many aspects such as facilities, and workplace safety.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to write reports and deliver training lessons.
