We are presently seeking a Service Desk Apprentice for an innovative IT-managed service provider dedicated to safeguarding data as a national asset. Specialising in encrypting, storing, and processing information on UK territory from fully assured and resilient data centres.

Responsibilities

As a Service Desk Apprentice, you will serve as the initial point of contact for both external and internal customers, offering support to users. Your duties include:

  • Responding promptly and professionally to all communications directed to the desk.
  • Identifying, registering, and categorising incidents effectively.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving basic technical issues proficiently.
  • Promptly allocating incidents in accordance with agreed procedures and SLAs.
  • Providing regular updates to customers and meticulously recording all actions in the service management tool.

The ideal Service Desk Apprentice must have:

  • Exceptional problem-solving skills coupled with excellent time management and organisational abilities.
  • Capability to work autonomously or collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Eagerness to develop and advance both in the role and within the company.
  • Dedication to delivering outstanding service under pressure and within security constraints.
  • Willingness to acquire new technological skills with guidance and support.
  • Availability to travel to customer sites or various locations.
  • Ability to obtain security clearance to SC level with the potential for DV clearance.
