Mainstay Recruitment are pleased to be recruiting for a Safety Compliance Coordinator for our prestigious, well-known client. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive professional with a passion for safety and quality to make a meaningful impact across multiple locations.

About the Role

As part of this role you will be the Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC), you will be responsible for managing all temporary works linked to repair and maintenance activities, ensuring full compliance with current regulations and industry best practice.

You will also serve as the Responsible Person for Asbestos and Legionella management, overseeing inspections, testing, remedial works, and documentation to ensure all compliance activities are executed effectively and on schedule.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Maintaining key compliance records including vehicle inspections, PAT testing, ladder/tower scaffold checks, and training matrix data

• Ensuring all technical and safety training is current and recorded accurately

• Conducting site inspections and completion checks

• Providing technical support and feedback to operational teams and contractors

• Supporting audits, inspections, and investigations

• Promoting a proactive, safety-first culture across the organisation

You’ll work closely with internal departments, contractors, and field teams, acting as both an advisor and enforcer of safety and compliance standards.

What We’re Looking For

To succeed in this role, you’ll bring:

• Proven experience in a safety or compliance-focused role, ideally within property management, construction, or estates/facilities operations

• Strong working knowledge of regulations around Temporary Works, Asbestos, and Legionella

• Familiarity with managing and maintaining compliance registers and documentation

• Confidence delivering advice, inspections, and compliance oversight

• Strong understanding of health and safety legislation

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

Desirable qualifications include:

• TWC (Temporary Works Coordinator)

• BOHS P405 (Asbestos Management)

• Legionella Responsible Person training

• NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent

Experience in safety management across social housing or large estate portfolios is a plus.

This role involves regular travel across southern UK sites and may occasionally require overnight stays.
