We are recruiting for Permanent HGV Class 1 Drivers to work for our client in Derby.

Your duties will include inter-depot trunking using a refrigerated double decker trailer. You will have 1 delivery per shift. There is no handball involved and you will driver brand new Mercedes vehicle.

The company offer fantastic earning potential due to extremely high hourly rates, which are as follows:

Basic Hours – £17.51 per hour 
Overtime – £26.27 per hour (paid after 39 hours in any working week)
Sunday – £35.05 per hour
PAID BREAKS – No dedcutions from your hours
Holidays are paid on top of this (no rates quoted are inclusive of holiday pay)

Available Shift Pattern:
5 on, 3 off

You will work on average 10 hours per shift.

Additional benefits
Training:
You will be enrolled into approximately 1 week of fully-paid training prior to working independently. This will be a mixture of classroom-based, yard-based and on the road training, shadowing a driver to learn your route.
 
Holiday:
As standard, you will be entitled to 4 weeks’ holiday plus bank holidays, which is approximately 20% above statutory. You will also gain an additional week’s holiday after 5 years in service

To be eligible for this position, you will need:

  • To have held a Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) Category C+E/Class 1 driving license for at least 1 year (with a maximum 6 penalty points)
  • An up-to-date Driver CPC card and training
  • Excellent knowledge of Drivers’ hours regulations
  • To meet the shift availability requirements for this vacancy
