Nathan Taylor
Trainee Recruitment Consultant - Logistics, Distribution and Supply Chain
The transition into recruitment has been a great move for me, and I am eager to continue using my experience to help both candidates and clients achieve their goals.
My background is in mass production, logistics, and supply chain operations. I have spent the last 11 years in automotive manufacturing, holding several roles, from planning facilities and training staff to leading a team. Throughout my career, I have focused on developing and growing people.
Prior to joining Mainstay, I worked as a Production Team Leader managing a team of 25, including Operations staff, Machine Setters, and
Engineers. In addition, I served as the onsite MHE instructor and trainer for FLT (forklift truck) novices and conducted refresher courses for experienced drivers. I supported the training and development of new staff members in logistics and dispatch, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

I supported the training and development of new staff members in logistics and dispatch, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. Many of these team members transitioned from temporary to permanent roles through recruitment agencies. I take a hands-on approach to leadership, enjoying the opportunity to support and coach others, improving individual performance, and strengthening team performance.
In my previous roles, I had to build strong relationships with recruitment agencies, acting as the client to assess candidates and conduct site inductions. This experience has provided me with a solid foundation for transitioning into the recruitment industry. Mainstay offered me the opportunity to make this career shift, and since joining, I have thoroughly enjoyed recruiting drivers into the transport industry.
My role has included supporting newly qualified drivers as they begin their careers in LGV driving and managing large recruitment campaigns for blue-chip companies. I’ve helped these companies find both temporary and permanent LGV drivers to keep their operations running smoothly. The transition into recruitment has been a great move for me, and I am eager to continue using my experience to help both candidates and clients achieve their goals.
Outside of work, I enjoy drawing and expressing creativity whenever possible. I also have a passion for cars and enjoy attending racing events and motor shows, as well as working on cars in my spare time.
