Role: Industrial Refrigeration Engineer
Location: North London, Mobile role
Salary: £50,000 – £55,000 + Vehicle + lucrative call out bonus
Hours: 08:00 – 17:30 + Overtime (paid at time + 1/2 or Double time)
Mainstay Recruitment are currently looking for an Industrial Refrigeration Engineer for a role with our specialist client based around North London. This is a great opportunity to work with a growing business that offers fantastic earning potential.
Duties will include:
- Service, maintenance and repair of refrigeration and air conditioning plant and systems
- Specilialist work on HFC and Ammonia installations
- work on a wide range of equipment encompassing centralised ammonia and HFC systems, HFC condensing units, packaged chillers
- Identify, diagnose and rectify faults in the equipment being maintained or serviced which could include compressor overhauls
- electrical fault finding and primary refrigeration plant analysis, subcooling, superheat, evaporation and condensing issues and secondary refrigerant issues, flow, temperature, pressure and concentration.
- Inform the service desk of all completed jobs ready for costing and invoicing.
- Submit a daily summary of the day’s activities at close of business to the service desk and their line manager by email using the company supplied mobile phone/PDA.
- Ensure site log books are kept up to date and all relevant tasks are carried out as per the schedule listed on the PPM planner and maintenance sheets
- Complete Refrigerant Charge Logs using the PDA.
- Comply with the company’s policies, especially Health and Safety in which training will be given and equipment issued
Candidate requirements
- Strong understanding in mechanical, electrical and refrigeration engineering
- Experience working on large projects including major works, compressor tear downs, rebuilds, intrusive maintenance and mechanical repairs of line components.
- Hold the necessary qualifications for working on HFC and Ammonia installations
- Flexibility to take on overtime and working outside of standard hours as business/projects demand.
Package
- Hours of work 08.30 – 17.00 Monday to Friday, half hour lunch but will also be required to work over these hours as and when the workload demands, paid time and half, double and recovery time when working through weekday nights during site callout attendance.
- Death in service scheme, which equates to four times basic pay. ·
- Statutory pension scheme based on basic pay. ·
- Required to participate in standby rota minimum one in three, £187/week, plus minimum 3 hours pay for each site callout
- Company holiday entitlement 25 days per annum plus statutory bank holidays
- Company van, Ford Connect or Vauxhall Vivaro, available for private use, with operating expenses paid by the company
