About the Role:
Mainstay Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Mobile Commercial Gas & Mechanical Engineer to join our clients team in the Leeds, Yorkshire area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out routine planned maintenance, repairs, and emergency call-outs for Gas & Plumbing, always maintaining a high standard of service.
- Strive for a first-time fix wherever possible and ensure all jobs are completed efficiently.
- Communicate effectively with planners to keep projects on track, ensuring timely completion and re-booking if necessary.
- Maintain cleanliness on site, ensuring plant rooms and work areas are always tidy.
- Build strong relationships with customers through excellent communication, offering your expertise and advice.
- Record and update data accurately on JobLogic, ensuring compliance paperwork is filled out correctly.
- Obtain material quotes from suppliers and provide them to the quoting team within 72 hours.
- Participate in the out-of-hours call-out rota, providing support to customers during reactive call-outs.
- Adhere to all Health & Safety requirements, including risk assessments and COSHH records.
- Perform other duties as required by the business.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Provide friendly, professional, and courteous service to all customers.
- Ensure that all work is completed to a high, compliant, and competent engineering standard.
- Uphold the company’s values and culture in every interaction.
Health & Safety:
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including risk assessments, safe systems, and COSHH records during daily operations.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Gas & Plumbing Engineer.
- Gas Safe Registered.
- Relevant certifications: COCN, MET1, CCN1, CKR1, HTR1, CDGA1, CIGA1, CODNCO1, CORT1, UVHW.
- IPAF/PASMA card or willingness to work at heights.
- Strong fault-finding and service work experience.
- IT literate – competent with Microsoft Office (Basic to Intermediate level).
- Full UK Driving Licence.
