We are currently working with a well-established company looking for an Electrical Engineer to perform planned and reactive maintenance across a large single site within Edinburgh. The role offers a fantastic opportunity to join a small team of engineers working on a single site.

Role

  • As an Electrical Engineer, you will perform planned preventive maintenance as well as reactive maintenance.
  • As an Electrical Engineer, you will perform electrical maintenance across many aspects on-site including generators, lighting, emergency lights, fire alarms, AHU, BMS systems, FCU and other electrical components.
  • You will also perform small installations across the site.
  • Part of your role will involve assisting in project planning, estimation, and stock control of critical electrical/mechanical/building fabric spares.
  • You will ensure all work completed is compliant and in line with health and safety regulations.
  • You will also ensure that you offer great customer service.

Duties

  • You must hold relevant qualifications within electrical installations e.g., City & Guilds level 3 or equivalent.
  • You will also hold 18th edition.
  • Holding a qualification in City & Guilds Test and Inspection is also desirable.
  • You must have experience in a similar role performing maintenance across a large estate.
  • Good written and verbal communication is a must.
  • Must hold a full UK driving license.

Shift rotation / on-call

Working as part of a team of 5 engineers, the successful candidate will cover the following shifts on a weekly rotation: 06:00-14:30 / 09:30-18:00. The role will also involve some on-call on a -in-5 rotation. There will be access to a company van which can be used whilst covering the on-call.
