Join a team as a Commercial Electrician! We’re looking for a skilled Electrician to carry out planned preventative maintenance, inspections, and reactive repairs across commercial properties at RAF Lakenheath, RAF Mildenhall, and RAF Feltwell.

As part of a dedicated team of 8 electricians, you will be responsible for:

  • Fixed wire inspections (five-year testing) on commercial properties.
  • Emergency lighting checks and distribution board inspections.
  • Responding to minor installations and repairs, such as additional power points and lighting modifications.
  • Ensuring compliance with current electrical regulations.

This role involves working within MoD commercial facilities, requiring a strong technical background and an ability to operate in high-security environments.

Hours: 40 hours per week – Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM
On-call rota: 1 week in 5 (includes standby fee and on-call payments)

What we’re looking for

Essential qualifications:

  • City & Guilds Parts 1 & 2 in Electrical Installation.
  • City & Guilds 18th Edition.
  • Experience conducting fixed wire testing in commercial properties.

Desirable qualifications & experience:

  • Previous experience in MoD, construction, or property maintenance environments.
  • Knowledge of security-cleared workplaces and their specific electrical requirements.

Other requirements

  • Full, clean UK driving licence (company van provided for business use).
  • Ability to work independently and self-motivate.
  • Strong communication skills for liaising with site managers and facility teams.
  • Must be able to pass BPSS clearance.
