We are currently recruiting for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer for our client based in the South East/South London area. The ideal candidate will have a strong electrical background, excellent troubleshooting skills, and a keen attention to detail, ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of electrical systems in commercial and professional environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine electrical maintenance (PPMs and reactive).
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve electrical issues to minimise downtime and ensure safe operation.
- Conduct planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks, including inspections, testing, and replacements.
- Ensure all electrical installations comply with relevant safety regulations, standards, and codes of practice.
- Respond to emergency electrical breakdowns and repairs promptly.
- Assist in electrical installations, modifications, and upgrades for ongoing projects.
- Work closely with other maintenance staff, engineers, and contractors to achieve operational goals.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance work and repairs.
- Adhere to health and safety protocols at all times, promoting a safe working environment.
- Participate in on-call rota when required.
Key Requirements
- Fully qualified Electrician (City & Guilds 2365, 2330, or equivalent).
- 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations.
- Proven experience in electrical maintenance.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, and control systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- A proactive attitude with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Full UK driving license.
Desirable Skills/Experience
- Previous experience working in facilities management and commercial sites.
