Mainstay are delighted to be partnered with a large, Hard services contractor. They are seeking to add a key member to their leadership team based in the in the Aldershot location.
We are seeking an experienced and driven Head of Repairs to oversee the day-to-day delivery of reactive repairs on a housing contract, supporting a large community and managing a team of skilled mobile tradespeople and a dedicated scheduling team. In this fast-paced environment, you’ll be responsible for handling over 8,000 repairs per month.

As Head of Repairs, you’ll play a crucial role in shaping the service offering, ensuring that our processes are efficient, customer-focused, and compliant with the highest industry standards. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the repairs programme, ensuring smooth operations, excellent customer service, and high-quality outcomes.
- Coordinate resources to ensure that both pre- and post-repair activities are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
- Take ownership of all aspects of the repairs process, from scoping and budgeting to contract management and delivery of value for money.
- Monitor the quality of work, resolve issues, and implement lessons learned for continuous service improvement.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including CDM and asbestos control, maintaining rigorous adherence to all relevant policies and procedures.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and suppliers, to ensure seamless communication and satisfaction throughout the repair lifecycle.
Requirements:
- Deep knowledge of housing maintenance, construction and Service Delivery
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and direct teams.
- Proven experience in managing reactive repairs in a high-volume environment.
- Expertise in contract and budget management, with a focus on delivering value for money.
- A proactive approach to driving policy changes and service improvements.
- Commitment to delivering top-tier customer service, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
