Shift start times: Wide variety of AM or PM (Between 06:00 to 22:00)
Shift length: Between 8 and 12 hours (approximately, this may vary).
Pay rate: £16.50 per hour (PAYE), £18.00 per hour (including holiday pay)

About the role

We are seeking experienced Class C+E/HGV Class 1 Drivers to represent our client in Coventry for ongoing work into 2025. All vehicles are all modern and well-maintained. Duties involve nationwide deliveries between depots (no handball at delivery point). Ensuring that goods are delivered, safely and efficiently in a timely manner using a curtain-sided trailer. Our client offers safe and secure parking with excellent facilities on site.

Key responsibilities

• Nationwide depot trunking work.
• Ensure timely and secure transportation of goods between depots.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and company procedures.
• No handball required – straightforward depot-to-depot deliveries.
• Maintain communication with dispatch and report any issues or delays promptly.

Shift patterns

• Desirable hours: Start times vary between 06:00 and 22:00, with a wide variety of length of shifts.
• Monday to Friday: Assisting with work life balance needs.
• Supportive environment: Work with a professional team in a well-established company.

Requirements

• Valid Class 1 (C+E) license.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience driving Class 1 vehicles – preferred.
• Valid CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) and Tachograph card.
• Good understanding of UK road networks and traffic laws.
• Strong communication skills and a professional attitude.
