Monday to Friday, 08:00-17:00, on call 1 week in 4.

We are currently working with a forward-thinking company looking to recruit a Multi-Skilled Operative based in Chippenham. This is a mobile role that will see you covering planned and reactive maintenance and refurbishments across domestic properties. You will be working to undertake a variety of maintenance services including plumbing, joinery, carpentry, building works and groundworks. Your main responsibility will be to repair and maintain plumbing, replace defective washers, replace or mend boking pipes and open clogged drains, toilets, gutters, rainwater pipes and any other plumbing work.

Your other responsibilities include:

• Undertake patch plastering works, tiling, floor laying, decorating, and replacing internal and external doors.
• Install supports for pipes, equipment and fixtures prior to installation.
• To undertake a continual programme of risk assessment in relation to the role.
• To complete and finalise projects to a high standard and have the ability to self-snag work on completion.
• Maintain van stocks and provide information enabling the improvements of right-first-time fixes.
• Ensure all H&S documentation (RAMS) are present prior to engaging the task.
• Be flexible and willing to work shift patterns to cover the appointments.
• Cover out of hours on a rota.

What you’ll need to do this role 

• As a Multiskilled Operative, you will hold a relevant qualification in either Carpentry or Joinery.
• A Full UK driving license.
• Experience in domestic plumbing and any other trade.
• Previous experience as a Multi-Trade Worker / Multi-Skilled Operative.
