Role: Quantity Surveyor

Salary: Up to £45,000 + company car or allowance

Location: Yorkshire – Covering the north area

About the Role:
Mainstay are working with a large, Facilities management contractor seeking add a Quantity Surveyor to join their Projects Team. You will be instrumental in managing a diverse range of Construction and Facilities Management projects. This role involves estimating costs, managing quantities, setting timelines, and providing essential business support for projects valued up to £10 million.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Projects Team and internal/external stakeholders to support project delivery.
  • Facilitate project relationships, ensure timely completion of reports, and integrate controls/milestones into plans.
  • Provide cost advice and support to the Billable Works Team, and work on cost models, proposals, and risk management.
  • Liaise with Senior Leadership to report project progress, attend Risk Meetings, and maintain compliance with Health and Safety, Sustainability, Quality, and statutory requirements.
  • Support change initiatives and seek alternative solutions where appropriate.
  • Handle a workload of 10-15 concurrent projects, focusing on maintenance, refit, and refurbishment.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: HND/Foundation Degree level in Quantity Surveying.
  • Experience: Background in Construction and/or Commercial Property Maintenance, including cost modeling, risk analysis, proposal preparation, and dispute resolution.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects across Construction and Facilities Management.

Security Clearance:
Candidates must be eligible to obtain SC Clearance due to the nature of the contract.
