Our client is a leading provider of modern home comforts. Following rapid growth and expansion within the business, a position has been opened for a Supply Chain Coordinator, who will also have responsibility for product sourcing. Due to the rapid growth of the business, experience within this role is essential. You will be working closely with overseas suppliers, maximising stock availability and cost savings. You will be responsible for forecasting stock requirements, liaising with overseas suppliers and coordinating shipments.

Role requirements of the Supply Chain Coordinator

  • Identify new product opportunities & range gaps, using competitor analysis and market data.
  • Support the development of new and existing product ranges and work closely with stakeholders to identify opportunities and improvements.
  • Identify future demand and forecast planning for all key brands.
  • Schedule and maintain healthy stock levels for overseas purchases.
  • Support with sourcing and negotiating with overseas suppliers and manufacturers.
  • Build relationships with key suppliers to maximise service.
  • Liaise with external suppliers and internal imports on container consolidations, movement and tracking of containers and shipments. Seeking the best possible pricing and terms.
  • Regularly, collate and distribute supply chain information to the business, such as outstanding order reports, weekly shipments, invoices and packing details.
  • Maintain ERP system with relevant information to provide full visibility to the business, reviewing opportunities to standardise and streamline processes.
  • Support with maintenance of OEM documents to ensure products are compliant with UK regulations.
  • Review supply performance and propose improvements to inventory control as appropriate.
  • Provide and report on departmental KPIs to the wider business.

Candidate requirements

  • Experience within a similar role is essential.
  • It would be advantageous if you came from an electrical wholesale background, however this is not essential.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Supply chain management.

Key details

  • Full-time, permanent.
  • Hybrid working, subject to performance and successful probation.
  • Primarily Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 17:00 – a minimum expectancy of 40 hours per week.
