Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

We are looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our client’s team. This is a great opportunity to work on an energy and heating system that has been converted from oil to locally sourced wood chip. The role involves maintaining system efficiency, ensuring smooth operation, and contributing to ongoing improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance on mechanical systems.
• Monitor and record operational data for compliance and performance tracking.
• Oversee subcontractors, ensuring safety and quality standards are met.
• Provide daily reports on system performance and maintenance activities.
• Liaise with customers and stakeholders to maintain high service levels.
• Participate in an on-call rota with overtime availability.
• Conduct daily chemical checks on feed water systems.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Support further development and improvement of site operations.

Desirable Qualifications & Experience:

• BOAS certification (preferred but not essential).
• Previous experience in mechanical (preferred) or electrical maintenance
