An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Junior Supply Chain Manager to join a leading facilities management and infrastructure services provider. This role is ideal for someone with early experience in procurement, supply chain, or logistics who is looking to step up and take on more responsibility in a secure, regulated environment.

The position will give you exposure to all areas of supply chain management, from procurement and supplier performance through to contract compliance and data analysis. What You’ll Be Doing as Junior Supply Chain Manager

  • Supporting procurement processes such as RFQs, supplier evaluations, and contract awards.
  • Raising and managing purchase orders, making sure goods and services arrive on time and meet requirements.
  • Keeping supplier compliance records up to date, including certifications and insurances.
  • Monitoring supplier performance against KPIs and SLAs and preparing reports for managers and clients.
  • Negotiating with suppliers to secure value for money while maintaining quality and compliance.
  • Forecasting demand for equipment, spares, and consumables with project teams.
  • Tracking lead times and material availability, resolving potential delays before they impact delivery.
  • Coordinating supplier attendance and logistics for site-based work.
  • Monitoring spend and identifying opportunities for cost savings.
  • Analysing supply chain data to spot trends, risks, and improvements.
  • Preparing dashboards and reports for stakeholders and management.
  • Supporting audits and maintaining accurate procurement records in ERP systems.
  • Ensuring all procurement activity complies with policy, regulations, and security standards.
  • Contributing to sustainability and ethical sourcing initiatives.
  • Supporting business continuity and supply chain resilience planning.

What You’ll Need

  • Experience in procurement, supply chain, logistics, or contract administration.
  • Knowledge of supplier evaluation, contract management, and procurement workflows.
  • Confident use of Excel (pivot tables, lookups, formulas).
  • Familiarity with ERP or procurement systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Coupa.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • British National able to obtain SC Clearance.

Desirable Experience

  • Knowledge of public sector procurement regulations (e.g. PCR 2015).
  • Exposure to defence, facilities management, or construction supply chains.
  • Experience managing supplier performance with KPIs and SLAs.
  • Understanding of sustainability, ethical sourcing, and modern slavery compliance.
