We are recruiting a Maintenance Manager to lead the delivery of maintenance, repairs, and asset management across the South region for our well know client. This role focuses primarily on Type 1 homes, while also supporting other Armed Forces accommodation as needed. You will be based at your nearest site out of the following: Aldershot, High Wycombe, Larkhill, or West Byfleet.

You will be responsible for overseeing both planned and reactive maintenance, managing subcontractors, and ensuring all works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. A key part of this role involves analysing performance data, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring clear, consistent communication with stakeholders—including senior military personnel.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead maintenance services across multiple sites.
  • Manage subcontractor performance and ensure quality delivery.
  • Oversee repairs and maintenance in line with compliance and safety standards.
  • Analyse KPIs and implement service improvements.
  • Develop efficient project management practices.
  • Foster strong working relationships with teams and clients.

What you’ll need

  • Strong technical background in maintenance and repairs.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and British Standards.
  • Professional qualification (e.g. CIOB, RICS) or working towards one.
  • Experience in service delivery or facilities/project management.
  • Familiarity with CAFM systems and Microsoft Office.
  • IOSH or equivalent health and safety certification preferred.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Flexibility to travel across the South Region.
  • Defence sector experience is desirable but not essential.

Successful applicants will be required to pass SC Clearance as part of the employment process.
