Job Title: M&E Engineer (Mobile Role)
Location: Mobile – Based at Fulwood Barracks, Preston, covering 6 other sites
Salary: Up to £45,000 + Company Car or Car Allowance 
Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Mainstay Recruitment are currently recruiting for a dedicated M&E Engineer with AP experience to join our prestigious client’s team, working across multiple MOD sites in the North West. If you’re passionate about safety, compliance, and making a tangible impact, this is the role for you.

Job Description

As an M&E Engineer, you’ll play a key role in the successful delivery of our contractual obligations, ensuring full compliance with MOD standards (JSP375). Your responsibilities will include:

• Producing detailed Risk Assessments and Method Statements
• Assessing and supporting the competence of Skilled Persons
• Providing expert technical advice to site teams and stakeholders
• Supporting MOD carbon reduction initiatives through technical solutions
• Supervising and mentoring staff to uphold high safety and quality standards
• Liaising with senior management and external partners to ensure project success
• Playing a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of all estate operations

Requirements

For this role you will need to have the below experience and qualifications.

• A recognised qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• AP tickets in either Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
• Solid experience with Safe Systems of Work and JSP375 compliance
• Proven ability to lead teams, manage resources, and solve complex problems
• Confidence working independently across multiple sites
• A full UK driving licence
• Flexibility to join an on-call rota when required
