We are currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to support the Projects Team at a site in Larkhill. The role will see you work on a variety of refurbished and new build projects.

As Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for helping to estimate costs, quantities and project timelines and providing business support to the Projects Team. This will include facilitating the working relationship between the team and internal and external customers, ensuring the completion of project reports and documentation, building controls and milestones into plans and programmes, identifying business priorities and opportunities for improvements and providing cost advice and support to the Billable Works Team.

In addition to this, you will liaise with the Senior Leadership Team to report on the progress of projects, attend risk meetings, ensure compliance across health and safety, sustainability, quality and other statutory requirements, as well as support change initiatives and identify alternative solutions.

Candidate requirements

  • HND/foundation degree level qualification in Quantity Surveying.
  • Appropriate experience within the construction and/or commercial property maintenance industry.
  • Experience developing cost models, risk analysis and management, preparation of proposals, tenders and dispute resolution.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and organisational skills are essential.
  • Ability to build positive working relationships at all levels.
  • This role will involve working across 3-4 projects at any one time in construction, so it is essential that you are able to manage a large workload.
  • We believe this role would suit a competent Assistant QS who is looking for the next step in their career, as well as established QSs.
  • Due to the vetting requirements, candidates must be able to pass SC clearance, and candidates must hold a full UK driving licence.
