Role: Scoping Project Manager

Location: Brackley

Salary: Up to £45,000

Mainstay Recruitment is seeking experienced Scoping Project Manager to join our client, a large Facilities management company. In the role you will oversee the end-to-end delivery of projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to a high standard. This role involves managing all aspects of the Billable Works process, from concept and design to pricing, delivery, and handover.

 

Role Overview:
As a Scoping Project Manager, you will ensure that Billable Works are delivered in line with regulatory, statutory, health and safety, and environmental standards. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing Risk Assessments and Method Statements to ensure compliance.
  • Managing project documentation, including timely uploads to SharePoint and updates in the Maximo system.
  • Developing and monitoring work plans and budgets to meet financial and operational targets.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders, including customers and site managers, to agree on scope, priorities, and delivery schedules.
  • Managing contract risk and ensuring value for money through sound commercial decisions.
  • Supporting end users with optimal solutions while aligning with carbon reduction targets.
  • Scoping various construction projects, including refurbishments, new builds, demolitions, and maintenance tasks.

 

What You Need to Succeed:
To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • A background in project management within the construction industry.
  • A HNC/D level qualification in Building/Civil Engineering, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline—or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in planning, directing, and controlling project activities, including scope and priority management.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • The ability to obtain SC Clearance.
