We are supporting a market-leading, cutting-edge technology company to help them recruit a Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer.

About the role

This role is crucial for maintaining and advancing internal IT infrastructure and collaboration systems within our rapidly expanding technology environment. The successful candidate will operate in a dynamic setting, contributing to strategic initiatives while providing hands-on support.

Our client’s cloud-centric IT infrastructure supports both domestic and international offices, as well as remote workers. They utilise Google Workspace, Zoom, Cisco, Palo Alto, Okta, and Jamf, with a predominant user base on Mac systems and ongoing migration from Windows. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced IT professional to make a significant impact within our innovative organisation.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee internal IT, networking, and cloud-hosted services.
  • Develop and maintain systems architecture diagrams for documentation and support purposes.
  • Ensure the security of data, networks, and backup systems.
  • Lead hardware and software configuration upgrades through project management.
  • Identify and resolve system issues with strategic solutions.
  • Evaluate new technologies, conducting cost/benefit analyses for recommendations.
  • Contribute to IT budgeting for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Manage the IT Helpdesk System and resolve end-user issues.

Qualifications and experience

  • Extensive experience in senior IT roles, including network administration, IP/data routing, switching, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency in Cisco network environments administration.
  • Strong familiarity with the Apple ecosystem, including managing macOS and iOS user bases, with expertise in Jamf or similar Mac device management systems.
  • Experience managing Google Workspace (G-Suite), Okta, Atlassian products, Zoom, and other cloud-based IT systems.
  • Expertise in cloud-based IT service management, particularly AWS infrastructure.
  • Excellent understanding of VPN, DNS, DHCP, LANs/VLANs, and experience in firewall management, preferably Palo Alto.
  • Proficiency in managing IT ticketing systems and ensuring SLA compliance.

Preferred qualifications

  • Apple certifications (e.g., ACSP), Jamf training, or equivalent qualifications.
  • Okta Essentials training and certification.
  • CCNP and/or CCNA certification or similar qualifications.
  • Linux qualifications/certifications.
  • Familiarity with ISO 27001 and other security compliance standards.
  • ITIL V3 Foundation certification.
  • Proficiency in managing Zoom collaboration services, including video conferencing and Zoom phone.
