We are currently recruiting for a Service Manager for our prestigious client at the HMS Collingwood site. As Service Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that all Reactive and Planned Maintenance activities are accurately documented, completed in a timely manner, and recorded correctly within the CAFM system. You will manage the planning and compliance processes across your portfolio to ensure high service standards are maintained.

Key Responsibilities

This role requires a proactive, organised individual with the ability to lead cross- functional teams and ensure a safe, compliant, and efficient working environment.

  • Managing and updating the Establishment Specific Task Schedule (ESTS) and the Forward Additional Services Plan (FASP).
  • Ensuring statutory and mandatory tasks are delivered on time and recorded appropriately.
  • Monitoring compliance across all sites, identifying and mitigating risks linked to overdue tasks.
  • Working closely with DIO and Heads of Establishment to maintain operational and statutory standards.
  • Supporting Net Zero carbon reduction initiatives by identifying and proposing relevant Billable Works and sustainability projects.
  • Acting as On Call Services Manager when required, providing leadership and operational oversight during incidents.

What You’ll Bring

  • A technical background with an ONC or equivalent qualification in Building, Civil Engineering, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, or relevant experience.
  • Experience in a Hard Services background.
  • Ongoing commitment to professional development and technical training.
  • Awareness and understanding of asbestos and legionella responsibilities.
  • Familiarity with site assets and Safe Systems of Work.
  • Recognised qualifications such as IOSH, Emergency First Aid, and Fire Safety.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to lead internal teams and external suppliers to deliver safe, compliant, and cost-effective services.
  • Attention to detail with a proactive approach to managing compliance and performance.
  • Innovative thinking to support continuous improvement and sustainability targets.

The following are also essential:

  • A full UK driving licence.
  • Access to your own vehicle.
  • The ability to obtain SC Clearance.
