We are recruiting for our client, a national Facilities Management company, seeking to add a Technical Services Manager to be based on a site near the Brackley area.
The Technical Services Manager will provide essential operational support, delivering excellent service to our customers and ensuring all work is completed on time and within service requirements.
You will be expected to prioritise Health & Safety for yourself, and others affected by your work activities and complete any required training for the role.
Key responsibilities
- Manage around 9 Mechanical/HVAC Engineers in planned and reactive maintenance work.
- Oversee external contractors to ensure high standards and compliance with contract requirements and key performance indicators.
- Assist the Maintenance Manager in developing maintenance standards and processes.
- Develop and review risk assessments and method statements.
- Lead the team by example, fostering a positive and proactive culture.
Qualifications and skills
- Qualified Mechanical or HVAC Engineer.
- Experience in managing or supervising engineering teams.
- Good knowledge of Health and Safety, including COSHH and RIDDOR.
- IT literate, and confident in using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Capable of reporting against KPIs and presenting to senior managers.
- Full UK driving license.
- Ability to pass SC Clearance (a requirement for the role).
Work structure
- Approximately 60% office-based and 40% conducting quality checks.
- Not involved in hands-on technical tasks as part of daily duties.
