We are currently seeking a number of Rolling Mill Setters/Operators for our client in West Bromwich. This is a great opportunity to join a busy and growing manufacturing business, that offers great progression opportunities and a fantastic working environment.

Role responsibilities

• Set and operate our roll-forming equipment, presses and ancillary equipment.
• Produce parts at the correct rate and report any issues with achieving that rate.
• Take responsibility for the quality of the parts produced.
• Keep production and quality-related records up to date.
• Ensure good levels of 5S are maintained in the area.
• Be involved in continuous improvement processes driving through improvements in all aspects of the role.
• Ensure health & safety procedures are followed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

The candidate

• Experience in setting and operating rolling mills.
• Flexibility to work a rotating 3-shift pattern (days, afternoons and nights).
• Able to check the quality of the parts you manufacture.
• Strong health and safety ethics.
• Experience setting and operating a cold rolling mill.

Hours of work

39 hours per week working a 3-week rota shift pattern as follows:

• Shift 1 – Monday -Thursday, 06:00-14:00 and Friday, 06:00-13:00
• Shift 2 – Monday-Thursday, 14:00-22:00 and Friday, 13:00-20:00
• Shift 3 – Monday – Thursday, 22:00-06:00 and Friday, 22:00-05:00

Pay rate

£13.50-14.00/hour depending on experience, plus a 22% shift allowance for day shifts and a 25% shift allowance for night shifts.

An average annual salary of £33-35,000.
